Halloween murder cake!

This is my second Halloween ‘treat’ for 2014.

I wanted to make something easy but encompassed the Halloween spirit so I present…. .

I’m not sure what I’m going to call it.

I asked my facebook friends (who are my actual friends) what I should call this cake. I got suggestions like ‘Killer Cake’, ‘Splatter sponge’, ‘Death by Cake’, ‘Bloody cake’, ‘Cut the cake’, ‘Severed cake’… and ‘Stabby McStab Stab’. LOL

To make this, you can use any cake as the base, the denser the cake the better so that the knife stays in its spot. For this cake, I made a white chocolate cake with a white chocolate buttercream and a raspberry jam filling. For the ‘blood’ this is a raspberry coulis. If anyone wants the recipe, let me know in the comments and I’ll post it up the next day. This blog post is selling the ‘idea’ more than the cake. Although the cake is pretty damn good.

Sometimes the most simple ideas are the best. Guaranteed to impress the masses.

P.S. This cake is aimed more for adults
